The Principal of Healdsburg High School, Tait Danhausen (many of us fondly remember his grandfather Leroy Danhausen, a longtime teacher) recently reported this about our local high school:

In other news, the New York Times just published a long-term study on academic performance in public schools nationwide. While 83% of districts have seen a decline in student performance since 2015, Healdsburg Unified is part of the 17% that has seen an increase in test scores. Further, we sit in the top 25% of districts in the state of California for performance, and we do that with a population that is more racially and economically diverse than the vast majority of districts that sit ahead of us on the list.
