We've gotten A LOT of rain recently and you know what that means, MOSQUITOES!!
Did you know? Female mosquitoes that carry diseases like dengue and West Nile, lay their eggs on the inner walls of water-filled containers, above the waterline.
Here's how you can help:
- Inspect your property and dump standing water
- Check for any areas where water may collect, such as bird baths, flower pots, tires, and buckets.
- Empty items that hold water at least once a week and dispose of old tires and unnecessary containers that can collect water.
- Fill any holes or depressions in your yard where water can accumulate.
- If water cannot be drained, treat with a larvicide, such as mosquito dunks.
