This was a grass roots campaign, and the support that was given was very much appreciated.

What does grass roots mean? It means genuine, face to face, person to person, wing and a prayer, check engine light, until the wheels fall off, type campaign with real, genuine second, third and fourth world problems for the campaign team to even be able to show up. It means Michael threw everything into the race as well as the campaign team to earn the grassroots support we got. Blood, sweat and tears. That’s grassroots. It was also a campaign that has taking the high road, never compromising our integrity, selling our souls to get an upper hand on opponents.

There are expenses, help Michael with those expenses, and keep an eye on how we are moving, it’s the long game in alot of these arenas. Building out a movement takes time, and we can do this together. Thanks for the inspiration to stay involved. We will take what we’ve built and make sure your vote wasn’t for nothing, your voice will be heard.

I would like to acknowledge those of you who encouraged, supported and gave me the energy to get in to the US Senate race!

Firstly my family; my wife Joyce, children Beau, Robin and Kota. And of course, my ultimate reason for getting in this race, our grandchildren!

In addition I would like to thank Ted, Robert, Jarrett, Charles, Lance, Clare, Dru, Alex, the Fort Belknap Community Council, family, friends and to those of you who donated and made this campaign possible!

And to those countless supporters who I met over the past 10 months that I now consider friends, thank you from the bottom of my heart!

To those of you I didn't have the opportunity to meet, who believed enough in me to vote for me I am thankful for your trust to vote for me.

As a first time political candidate, I can honestly say that this was a huge learning experience, with so many highs and lows! Knowing who I can count on in the future and learning that assumptions are always to be taken with apprehension 😆

But all in all, I wouldn't have made any different choice looking back on it.

I've had so many of you reach out and offer words of encouragement and telling me to keep involved with Montana politics. Who knows, I may take those folks up on their word!

Lastly, one of my campaign promises that I made was: if I didn't get the nomination that I would support, endorse and help with the Democratic nominee.

So with that, I wholeheartedly support and endorse Alani Bankhead as the Democratic nominee for US Senate for the State of Montana!

The Fort Belknap Indian Community in Montana is opposing a proposed settlement between the state and mining companies accused of illegally operating at the Zortman Mine area and contributing to ongoing water contamination. The tribe argues the penalty—reduced to about $200,000 with no admission of wrongdoing—is far too small given the environmental damage and decades of pollution already affecting the region. They say the deal fails to hold the companies accountable or fully address cleanup needs, especially in a place where taxpayers have already spent tens of millions of dollars on remediation. The tribe, with support from environmental advocates, is pushing back in court to seek stronger enforcement and better protection of water resources.
