🚔🚒🚑 Day 4 of camp was awesome! We visited Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office at their Training Academy, Fleet Services, and Viking Dr Substation. We got to engage with so many of the awesome personnel! We then returned to Bossier Parish Fire District #1 Central Station for forcible entry training with FETA-Louisiana Fire and Emergency Training Academy-Pine Country’s prop followed by training on ropes and knots. All enjoyed this portion of the afternoon showcasing their strength! We look forward to our final day of camp tomorrow!

🚁🚒🚑 Wednesday at Camp Spark was a resounding success, thanks to Pafford Air One and Pafford Emergency Medical Services. Domino's Pizza generously provided lunch, including their specialty sandwiches that were a hit. Justin Fairchild led an engaging and informative presentation on the fire engine and its tools, despite the heat. The Gingerbread House presentation offered valuable insights and potentially life-saving information. We are grateful to East 80 and Chief Roe for their willingness to address our campers' questions.

🚒🚔🚑 Today marked another successful day. The Shreveport Police Department’s K-9 unit and drone operations presentation was intriguing. Domino's Pizza on Hwy 80 generously provided lunch, with their pasta being a highlight, making a strong case for a rebranding to Domino's Pasta. At the Haughton Fire Department, our own Beau Bevan conducted an enjoyable mass triage exercise. Rob Elliott from Homeland Security offered valuable insights on preparedness. To wrap up, the Haughton Police Department motivated our campers with an opportunity to ask questions and admire their impressive motorcycle unit.

🚒 🚓 🚑 Yesterday was an amazing day learning all things fire such as PPE, hose handling, and fire service history! After an amazing lunch provided by Domino’s Pizza, we went to the 911 dispatch center to learn what truly happens at the beginning with an emergency situation. All had a great time!

Camp Spark aims to empower high school students to explore careers in law enforcement, fire services, and emergency medical services. Through hands-on activities, mentorship, and team-building, we strive to inspire leadership, resilience, and a passion for the community in the next generation of first responders.
