While YAL does not endorse any sort of legislation, we would like to inform everyone that on Tuesday, May 5th, you will have the opportunity to sign a petition that requests ma*****na legalization to be voted on via ballot initiative!

Volunteers with petitions will be in front of the Liberal Arts Building from 8am-1pm!

Who all is going to this year?! On February 13-15, over a thousand students and liberty-minded individuals will gather at the international Students For Liberty conference! Ron Paul will be there to speak and take pictures, and there will also be a taping of the Stossel show.

If you'd like to go, there will be a round-trip bus leaving from Alabama for only $27! And I can provide a coupon for registration! Who's interested?

Supporters for Initiative #48 are holding a signing event on Saturday, Jan.24, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at 1800 6th Street in Meridian. If you would like more information, you may call Stacey Brown at 601-938-8076.

Supporters of Initiative 48 are asking for signatures to help get it on the ballot in 2016, so Mississippians can decide whether or not to legalize cannabis in the state.

This constitution was adopted at the NCAFC’s conference on December 8th and 9th 2012. We are also in the process of setting up a Federation of students or student unions.
