VOLUNTEERS: THIS Thursday, June 18, 6-7pm, will be our Special Olympics Volunteer Orientation. If you are curious about this opportunity and want to learn more, join us! All Class A volunteers must pass a background check and complete online training before attending practices.

ATHLETES: Anyone 8 or older with an intellectual disability is eligible to join our teams. Our summer bocce trial team starts next Thursday, June 25. Practices are every Thursday, 6-7:30pm at Tyden Park in Hastings!

"IEP: A Closer Look" is offered once a month at different times of day, even during the summer!

Get a better understanding of your child's IEP by taking a closer look at the core areas and how they build on each other. This workshop can help you:

☀️ take a more in depth look at the key sections of the IEP
☀️ prioritize your greatest concerns
☀️ learn how to address those concerns through the IEP process

Time is set aside every month to answer attendee questions.

We are hosting a Special Olympics volunteer interest night next Thursday, POSTPONED TO JUNE 18, from 6-7pm at Tyden Park in Hastings. If you're curious about becoming a volunteer or coach for Special Olympics, visit theabilitycollective.org/specialolympics to complete the volunteer interest form or email [email protected] to join our group.

🏃‍♀️‍➡️Athlete registration and medical forms are also available on our website! Athletes must have a current medical form on file to attend practice. We are forming a developmental bocce team this summer, and a bowling team later this year, so be sure to get those forms in!
