MADISON COUNTY SCHOOL SYSTEM - RULES OF ENGAGEMENT

This Madison County School System campus social media page aims to share important information about the district and campus with the public and engage in an open and respectful dialogue. To help us accomplish this goal, we ask that you abide by the following guidelines:

- Be respectful. Personal attacks or comments that are deemed offensive to any member of our community will not be tolerated. Inappropriate remarks and profanity will be removed.

- Want to boost your product sales? Publish a personal page, and leave ours for sharing news and insights about our district.

- Stay on topic. This page is dedicated to educating students in the Madison County School System and this school. Comments are welcome as long as they directly relate to a topic.

- Have a question for a specific employee? Contact them privately. Fans should not expect responses to every question or comment on this page.

- Be aware of the mission. The mission of Madison County School System and this school is education. Please ensure your comments are appropriate for an educational environment and fans of all ages.

- Be factual; blatantly inaccurate information will not be allowed. MCSS social media managers will remove false information and post accurate information.

- All comments and communication must come from a verifiable account. Statements made by individuals who misrepresent themselves, representing themselves as someone other than themselves or from unverifiable accounts, will be removed.

- Employees of the Madison County School System and this school may have personal pages. Don’t be surprised or offended if your request to “friend” them is ignored. Redstone Federal Credit Union Volunteers came out to Endeavor Elementary on Friday morning to help celebrate National High Fives and Hugs Day. Volunteers greeted students who were car riders, bus riders and even walkers. Huge high fives and words of encouragement by Redstone Federal Credit Union volunteers filled the air. Volunteers, Lena and Rachel, were ready to greet bus riders as they arrived. Students had big smiles as they were greeted getting off the bus and given high fives with a big red hand and words of encouragement from these volunteers. One student was full of smiles after getting his high fives saying,“Hey she gave me a high five and told me today was going to be a great day. I already knew it was going to be a great day because it is Friday and I’m ready for my test and I got a free high five.” Thank you Redstone Federal Credit Union Volunteers for sharing your high fives and words of encouragement with our students.

Did you know Endeavor Elementary School is home to a Little Free Library? The mission of Little Free Libraries is to be a catalyst for building community, inspiring readers, and expanding book access for all through a global network of volunteer-led Little Free Library book-exchange boxes. We keep the Little Free Library stocked with free books for Pre-K thru 5th grade kids. We even have books in foreign languages. The Little Free Library is located on the right side (facing school) under the car rider awning. It is a bright blue box library. The Little Free Library is handicapped accessible. Free bookmarks to take and color. We would love to see pictures of our students and others enjoying a free book or two from the library. The library is accessible 24 hours a day for our early birds and late night readers. Please email [email protected] for any suggestions/comments/questions. We are even on the official Little Free Library Map.

Third graders at Endeavor Elementary School have been wrapping up their Classic Tales Unit by disguising a picture of Mr. Toad from Wind In The Willows into someone/something else. This assignment helps students connect character understanding and creative writing. Lining the 3rd grade hallways walls were students creative ways Mr. Toad was disguised.
