🍎 There is something special about being in the bleachers at the Hartselle High pep rally and seeing the energy, the pride, and the school spirit. This is my daughter, being lifted by her teammates. 📣📣 As a parent with children in the Hartselle City school system, I’m not just invested, I’m present. I walk the halls, sit in the bleachers, and show up for volunteer opportunities. I’ve seen firsthand the dedication of our teachers, resilience of our students, and the heart of our athletes.

I am running for the school board because I love our schools deeply, and I want to ensure every child in Hartselle has the opportunity to rise, be supported, and thrive. 📚✏️

I humbly ask for your vote on Tuesday for Place-1 - Hartselle City Schools Board of Education. 🍎🐅

First day as a graduate nursing faculty member! 🍎 My recent faculty orientation at Bama opened my eyes even further to the critical role that policies, procedures, and curriculum design play in shaping student success, not just in higher education, but across all levels of learning. In nursing education, we emphasize clear objectives, structured curriculum, and open communication. These principles are just as vital in K-12 education. When students understand what’s expected of them, when teachers have the tools and support to deliver meaningful instruction, and when families are engaged in the process, we create a learning environment where everyone thrives. I am running for the school board because I believe in evidence-based decision-making, transparent leadership, and open communication. I would love your vote on Tuesday!! 🍎

Today, I crafted my very first syllabus for one of the graduate classes I am teaching at the University of Alabama. It required hours of thought, planning, and self-questioning: Will this serve my students well? Is this the best way to help them grow? That experience gave me an increased appreciation for the incredible educators and administrators in Hartselle. They do this every day - not just writing lesson plans, but shaping futures with care, intention, and heart. If elected to the school board, I will bring that same dedication to our school system and continue to listen and serve. I ask for your vote for Place-1 Hartselle City Schools Board of Education on August 26th! 🍎

This morning, I stood at the Hartselle football stadium, watching the sun rise over a place that brings our community together. It won’t be long before the stands are filled with cheering fans, the student section electric with energy, and the Tiger spirit pulsing through every corner.
Moments like these remind me why I’m running for the school board— Hartselle’s students deserve all the support, opportunity, and celebration we can give them. I encourage you to vote for candidates who, like me, are wholeheartedly passionate about being a Hartselle Tiger!! ❤️🐅

Yesterday, we had the joy of providing breakfast to our incredible Hartselle High School cheerleaders and coaches during their practice! Not only do they work hard during the school year, these athletes work tirelessly during early morning practices all Summer long. Cheerleaders often do not get enough credit for the dedication and unmatched energy they bring to every game and every event… they are the driving force behind the spirit that fuels our athletes and fans!!! Their dedication is just one of the many reasons Hartselle continues to shine in athletics and beyond.

Little red wanted to see the progress on
her school’s new gym construction so I took her by Barkley Bridge Elementary!
We ran into our principal and I just want to praise her for being present, working on/at the school during times she isn’t required to be there! You know you have an amazing administrator when she volunteers her free time!! (So I’m being the tattle tale 😬❤️)

I love the positive vibes from Barkley Bridge Elementary!!! ❤️🍎

🍎 I am running for the school board because I am passionate about the power of education to shape the future of our students. I bring over 12 years of experience in teaching future healthcare professionals in the clinical setting, and I am now expanding that commitment to the classroom as I am awarded my doctoral degree in a few short weeks. As someone who has developed curriculum, mentored students, and fostered academic and professional growth, I know what it takes to create a learning environment where both students and teachers can thrive. I believe in collaboration, transparency, and building strong partnerships between schools, families, and our community. I humbly ask for your vote on August 26th for Place 1 on the Hartselle City Schools Board of Education. 🍎
