Harrison PBA Local 22 extends our deepest condolences to the Bayonne Police Department, PBA Local #7 and the Giordano family, and all those mourning the loss of Officer Joseph Giordano.

Yesterday, members of Harrison PBA Local 22 and PBA Local 22A were honored to assist in covering Bayonne Police Department shifts, allowing their officers the opportunity to come together and attend the funeral services of their brother officer.

It was our privilege to support the men and women of the Bayonne Police Department during this difficult time.

Rest in Peace, Officer Joseph Giordano.

Thank you to everyone who came out to National Night Out! We appreciate everyone who stopped by the PBA tent to say hello, grab some giveaways, and spend time with us! It was great seeing so many members of our community! We can't wait to see you at the next event!

As part of a new initiative to recognize exceptional performance and outstanding police work, the Harrison Police Department is proud to announce Officer Michael Barbosa as the Patrol Division Cop of the Month for July.

Officer Barbosa joined the Harrison Police Department in 2025 and is currently assigned to the Patrol Division, Bravo Platoon, Squad 2.

Officer Barbosa earned this recognition for his outstanding investigative work during an aggravated assault involving the pointing of a firearm, which led to the arrest of the suspect.

Officer Barbosa’s professionalism, initiative, and investigative skills reflect great credit upon himself and the Harrison Police Department.
