Luke graduated from GPSTC fire academy last week after months of hard work, dedication, and perseverance. Completing the academy is a major accomplishment and marks the beginning of an exciting career in the fire service.

🛑 💦 HYDRANT TESTING ANNOUNCEMENT 💦 🛑

Starting today, crews will begin our annual fire hydrant testing throughout the community. This routine maintenance is vital to ensure all equipment is operating at peak performance and that we have the water pressure needed to keep you safe in an emergency.

📅 When & Where?
• Dates: May 19 through June 14
• Times: Typically between 8am and 4pm
• Locations: Crews will be moving through throughout the city. Look out for flashing lights and fire apparatus in your area!

⚠️ What to Expect
As we flush the system, you might experience a temporary drop in water pressure or some slight discoloration in your tap water.
Don't panic! This is completely normal.
• The Fix: If your water looks rusty or brown, simply run your cold water tap (preferably an outside spigot or laundry tub) for 1–2 minutes until it runs clear.
• Pro-Tip: Check your water before doing laundry during these days to avoid staining any clothes!

The water remains perfectly safe for use and drinking.
