🎉 CONGRATULATIONS TO GRINNELL'S LATEST D.A.R.E. GRADUATES! 🎉

Yesterday, our awesome 5th graders celebrated their hard work and dedication to the D.A.R.E. program at Lake Nyanza with Officer Carlock! Every student walked away with a brand new D.A.R.E. T-shirt and a certificate celebrating their completion of the program.

A huge shoutout to our D.A.R.E. Essay Winners who were recognized yesterday for their outstanding writing and commitment to staying drug-free! 🏅✍️

We are so incredibly proud of all the students for making positive, healthy choices and committing to being role models in our community.

To top off a fantastic day, everyone enjoyed some well-deserved ice cream and toppings! A massive thank you to Wal-Mart and the Grinnell ELKs for sponsoring the sweet treats and supporting our youth.

Join us in congratulating the graduating class in the comments below! 👇👏

🚲 Keep Your Wheels Safe, Grinnell! 🚲

Did you know that you can register your bicycle with us for FREE?

If your bike is ever lost or stolen, having it registered significantly increases the chances of it being returned to you. We keep your serial number and description on file, making it much easier to identify your property if it’s recovered.

How to Register: Visit the City of Grinnell website to find the registration form under Crime Prevention. -- https://www.grinnelliowa.gov/180/Crime-Prevention-Programs

Once completed, you can bring it to the Public Safety Building at 1020 Spring Street or email it directly to [email protected]. (Pro Tip: If you have a photo of your bike, include it with your form so we have a visual record on file too!)

After you’ve submitted it to us, we will provide you with an official bicycle registration sticker. Not only does this show your bike is on file, but it also acts as a great deterrent!

Let’s keep Grinnell rolling safely.
