Please keep this department in your prayers here in MI.
Rest Easy K9’s and my brothers and sisters in blue.
To the community, friends, fellow officers, and family of K9 Cash and K9 Tole.I cannot express in words the appreciation and outreach from everyone and how much it means to me. I had no idea until the past few days the profound impact Cash & Tole had during their time here.
Cash and Tole have been with me non-stop and they travelled with me everywhere I went. They were a large part of my daily routine. They’ve been there for entertainment on long boring shifts, comfort after the hard calls, and as trusted partners during dangerous uncertain situations.
K9 Tole enjoyed his retirement after an exceptional career as my first K9 partner. He taught me how to be a handler; he taught his younger brother, Cash, how to be my partner & what is acceptable behavior in the house. Your departure was not expected and devastating. I miss and love you so much, Tole.
K9 Cash is my ‘little boy’ – he was so affectionate and always in physical contact with me. He was born for tracking humans and he was unbeatable in the streets. He had a work mode that when turned on was terrifying and inspiring. You fought so hard against cancer Cashy; it is not fair a sweetheart like you went through that. I miss and love you so much, Cashy.
I would like to thank everyone who has reached out on social media, called, or texted. As you can imagine this has been a nightmare come true for me and I apologize if I have not responded, I will when I can. Thank you everyone and thank you K9 Cash and K9 Tole.
