** the backside of the library, known as the annex, or children's library, is owned separately from the front part of the library (original brick building). The Annex house was connected to the original brick library a number of years ago but the annex is owned by the Shaw Public Library Association - this is why we are fundraising as the association is responsible for replacing the annex roof, and not the town of Greenville.

Hello Moosehead Lake Region!
The Shaw Public Library is thrilled to announce we are undergoing some upgrades to best serve the needs of our growing community, and as part of our ongoing participation within the Maine Library System.

Many of these things are happening behind the scenes, but some will require us to close for a few days over the coming weeks.

We will do our very best to keep the interruptions in library services to a minimum - please do not hesitate to reach out if there is something we can help you with during this process.
