We love our new tennis courts at Greenbo! Thank-you to our Friends of Greenbo, and a HUGE thank you to Marathon! Marathon helped to provide much of the funding to get these tennis courts completed!

Before and after! 😂 We should be playing tennis soon!! These courts look so nice!! A special thanks to those who have helped us, especially Marathon Petroleum!! This has been a challenging project but will be worth it! Just have to get our fence back up! We will announce a ribbon cutting soon!! God is good!!!

Tennis anyone? So thankful to see the asphalt down! The tennis top surface will be next after this sets for a bit. So thankful for the support of the community to keep our park so nice! A big thank you to Marathon to help make this happen! I played Greenbo tennis courts as a kid did you? We will get to play it again soon! Going to be beautiful tennis courts!!! Stay tuned you will be invited to our ribbon cutting ceremony!!!

So excited to announce that our Friends of Greenbo Lake State Resort Park Inc. group has received a $15,000 grant from Marathon! We will be announcing our next meeting soon here to make some plans to help the park further with the tennis courts, trails, and further sustainability! A huge thank you to Marathon!!!

Excited about our lake shore cleanup tomorrow Sat the 10th.  We will meet at the marina at 9 AM. Everyone is welcome to come out and help. Lunch will be at noon at the amphitheater for all the volunteers with special singing by the Willis twins. Thank you King’s Daughters for helping sponsor our luncheon.

A huge thank you goes out to the Marathon Petroleum Foundation for awarding Friends of Greenbo a grant in the amount of $10,000! The money will be used to support Park Maintenance and Sustainability! Anyone notice the tennis courts at Greenbo? They are in need of help! There are many other needs as well! We are excited to help repair, maintain, and sustain our beautiful park!

Wanted to pass this Job Opportunity on to everyone!

The Kentucky State Parks, Eastern Region is seeking to find the right individual to fill a Water and Sewage Plant Operator II position. The successful candidate will assist multiple parks in the region, including Carter Caves State Resort Park, Greenbo Lake State Resort Park, and Grayson Lake State Park. In addition, this position will also monitor our numerous sewage lift stations and be the "go to individual" to proactively monitor this system throughout the aforementioned state parks. Therefore, Kentucky State Parks needs someone who is certified and skilled in operation of water and sewage treatment facilities successfully and is versatile in the work arrangements.

The ideal candidate will:
• Maintain a required license/certification to operate as a Class II Water and Sewage Plant;
• Works well with vendors for chemicals;
• Know the calibration of meters and tools needed at the plant;
• Have a knowledge of the Parks and all lift stations located on the Parks.

Job duties include but are not limited to:
• Regular monitoring of our digesters, sludge drying beds, filters and possible lagoons;
• Conducts regular inspections of all water and sewage plant equipment and systems;
• Operates all pumps and maintenance of such pumps;
• Cleans filters and settling basin as necessary;
• Collects water and/or wastewater samples and performs tests using appropriate equipment;
• Maintains all records and documentation regarding the regular operations of the plant;
• Regularly monitors and performs or assists qualified vendors in the any maintenance needs of the
various lift stations
throughout the park.
• Serves as the parks’ expert in all water and sewage treatment processes of the aforementioned
Parks;
• Will also conduct other duties as assigned by various park managers, maintenance supervisors, at
the discretion of the Parks Regional Administrator.
