Parents and families, please help us by completing this survey!

We want to hear from our GC Families!

Our Title I Parent & Family Involvement Survey is now open, and your feedback is very important to us. This survey helps us better understand how families feel about communication, involvement opportunities, and the support we provide to help students succeed.

Your responses will guide us as we plan improvements and strengthen the connection between home and school. It only takes a few minutes to complete, and every response makes a difference.

Please take a moment to share your thoughts:

I was very fortunate to be able to attend the KSBA Annual Conference this weekend in Louisville to gain knowledge and help obtain my state required training as a school board member. There were lots of excellent and engaging sessions that focused on policy, management, and finance for school boards. In addition, I was able to meet and talk with other school board members and district leaders from around the state to gain useful knowledge and ideas that I hope we can bring to Greenup County. I am just getting started on the school board, but this has helped energize me and I’m ready to help Greenup County students become the best they can be!

Musketeer Family,

This winter has brought more missed school days than any of us could have expected.

To ensure we meet required instructional hours β€” and to protect both Spring Break and try and keep our May dismissal timeline β€” Greenup County Schools will be adding additional minutes to each school day.

We believe this allows us to stay focused on what matters most: maximizing meaningful learning time for our students, without extending the school year into June.

This updated schedule will begin Monday, February 23, 2026.

Please review the revised start and end times below for each school. At this time, our tentative last day of school remains in May. Once we move beyond the remaining winter weeks, we will confirm and communicate the official last day of school.

Updated School Day Start and End Times:

Argillite Elementary
7:40 am - 3:12 pm

Greysbranch Elementary
7:40 am – 3:12 pm

McKell Elementary
7:40 am – 3:12 pm

Greenup School of Innovation (GCSI)
- Kindergarten – 5th Grade: 7:40 am – 3:12 pm
- 6th – 8th Grade: 7:45 am – 3:10 pm

McKell Middle
7:45 am – 3:08 pm

Greenup County High School
7:55 am – 3:20 pm

Thank you for your continued flexibility and support as we work through a challenging winter together.
