Historic Green Mountain Falls Foundation

Historic Green Mountain Falls Foundation We achieve these goals by engaging in collaborative projects, offering educational programs, and utilizing advocacy efforts.

The Historic Green Mountain Falls Foundation, formed in 2006, is dedicated to enhancing and preserving the unique qualities of Green Mountain Falls and the surrounding area. The foundation focuses on historic preservation, open spaces, parks, trails, and projects that are integral to this distinctive setting at the base of Pikes Peak. Our objectives are simple: to protect and preserve the historic

al treasures and natural environment that make the Green Mountain Falls area so special. We believe that when nature thrives, so do people, and by preserving our past, we can inspire the future. We encourage thoughtful economic development by attracting cultural tourism through the annual Green Box Arts Festival, public art installations such as the Green Mountain Falls Skyspace by James Turrell, the Keith Haring Fitness Court, and the many art installations that you will find around town. The Green Box website provides information on meaningful opportunities for locals and visitors to connect with arts, culture, and the surrounding natural beauty. We welcome anyone who shares our passion for preserving the rich history of our community to join us.

Caring for Green Mountain Falls starts with the people who know and love it best (we’re looking at you, community members!). 💚

Every time we stay on the trail, pack out what we bring in or give wildlife plenty of space, we help preserve the natural character of our mountain community.

As a Leave No Trace Gold Standard Site, Green Mountain Falls is proud to put outdoor stewardship into practice in ways that support both people and places. Learn more about this designation: hgmff.org/trails

Prepared neighbors make for a stronger mountain community! 💚

Thank you to everyone who joined us this past weekend for Home Ignition and Wildland Urban Destruction with Tom Welle. We’re so grateful to our neighbors who showed up and asked questions to better prepare themselves against wildfires.

Stay tuned for our next event!
