Exciting News from FEMA’s Center for Domestic Preparedness!

Beginning in July, the CDP will resume delivery of four healthcare courses:

Barrier Precautions and Controls for Highly Infectious Disease (HID) is a four-day course, teaching healthcare providers to safely triage and treat patients with a highly infectious disease, while reducing the risk of it spreading to others. The course is accredited for 3.2 CEUs.

The CDP’s Emergency Medical Operations is a four-day offering, training medical professionals to effectively respond to mass casualty incidents where chemical, biological and other hazardous materials are involved. The course is accredited for 3.2 CEUs.

Healthcare Disaster Emergency Planning, formerly Framework for Healthcare Emergency Management c, is a four-day course geared toward those responsible for the development and administration of emergency management plans and programs for their healthcare facility. The course is accredited for 3.2 CEUs.

Environmental Health Training in Emergency Response Operations is a five-day offering, providing responders with the knowledge and skills to safely and effectively perform various environmental health tasks in response to a natural or manmade disaster.
