Does your workplace still hold a company picnic?

Each year, T-Ross Brothers Construction brings employees and their families together at the Sunbury Social Club for great food, a co****le tournament, construction-themed competitions, a bounce house and mobile axe throwing from Axe of Faith.

It’s a chance to step away from the jobsites, enjoy some friendly competition and spend the day together as one team.

We were walking to Vinnie’s in Troy to pick up our stromboli when a parking lot full of classic cars across the street caught our attention.

Naturally, dinner had to wait.

The Troy Town Cruisers had brought out some beautiful vehicles—most of them far outside my price range. Fortunately, looking and daydreaming are still free.

From what I understand, the club gathers in Troy on Tuesday evenings. Just don’t blame them if your stromboli gets cold while you’re admiring the cars!

We stopped to explore Jasmine-Aire Boutique, a family-run Appalachian hippie shop with roots stretching back to 1970.

My wife brought Chinese food. I brought KFC. Apparently, coordinating a picnic menu is not one of our strengths.

After combining two very different meals into one international picnic at Waverly Glen, we took a walk to check on the waterfall—and perhaps work off a little fried chicken.

Good food, beautiful scenery, and a relaxing walk made for a pretty great afternoon.

Sayre wasn’t simply built beside the railroad—the railroad helped create the town.

As we drive through the borough, we’re looking at a community shaped by the Lehigh Valley Railroad, the enormous locomotive shops that once operated here and generations of people who called the Valley home.
