J.R. VanderWall - Grandville City Council Member

J.R. VanderWall - Grandville City Council Member Current City Council Member, 14-Year Downtown Grandville Business Owner, WCET-TV Board of Directors,

As a father, Grandville resident, local business owner and active part of the community, it is vital for me to be involved in our local government. The biggest impact I can make on Grandville would be to continue to provide a safe, diverse and family-focused environment that offers a fantastic quality of living and healthy access to our natural resources, parks and trails. Stemming from a lengthy

high school and college sports career, both as an athlete and official, I have found tremendous value in teamwork, sportsmanship and working with many different people from around the world. Being a local business owner, I’ve realized the value in setting and achieving goals as well as making many impactful relationships in our community with other business owners and residents while focusing on being transparent to the community and available for a local-first approach to shopping, dining and entertainment.

Looking forward to another term serving the City of Grandville and it's residents!

Ken has been a tremendous asset to our community and will surely be missed. Congrats on your retirement!

Our beloved City Manager Ken Krombeen is retiring at the end of this week, concluding more than 36 years with the City of Grandville. Ken started with the City in 1986 as the Administrative Assistant to the City Manager, and became City Manager in 1996. We are grateful for Ken’s many years of leadership and exceptional public service to our community, and we will miss him. Ken will be at City Hall this week, and will be attending his last City Council meeting as manager tonight at 7pm. THANK YOU Ken for your decades of service and best wishes and congratulations on your retirement!
