This means a lot to me. Investing in our teachers is investing in our community. I am running for this seat because we need strong public schools to have a strong city.

Thankful to live in a community that shows up for its public schools, and excited to see that GRPS voters just approved the sinking fund millage with nearly 63% saying yes.

This means steady, dedicated funding for our buildings for the next 10 years. Roofs, HVAC, plumbing, security, and technology, covered without pulling from the general fund or creating new debt. That's money freed up to stay with teachers and classrooms instead of emergency repairs.

This is what it looks like when a city invests in keeping its schools strong for the long haul. Grateful to everyone who showed up and voted yes.

Voters approved a sinking fund millage for Grand Rapids Public Schools, allowing funding for vital infrastructure and safety projects, the millage states.
