A person who fell into Reeds Lake in East Grand Rapids Friday has died, according to police.

This was a VERY dangerous situation for all involved. The actions of the fisherman saved lives!

This one hits close to home as the Grand River is in our backyard and we are acquaintances with one of the victims.

Three men were rescued from the Grand River near downtown Grand Rapids after their boat overturned on Friday, including a man who was revived after one of the rescuers performed CPR.

We've sold many, many Hydro Spiders. This one is special and we're not even selling it. A couple weeks ago, we posted a video of a heroic rescue on the Grand River in West Michigan. We put our former police hats on and found the hero. Tanner Barber (sorry I couldn't tag) inserted himself into a very dangerous situation. We've talked a couple times since the rescue and we can tell he's not only a hero, but a great guy. This one is for you Tanner and it's on the house! Well done sir.

We truly believe if he had a Hydro Spider that day, the rescue would have been quicker and not near as dangerous as it was for all involved. From now on, he will.
