Kick off the winter season with the Grand Mesa Nordic Council’s annual Run for Snow!

This annual fundraiser supports GMNC operations and offers a great opportunity to get outside, connect with the Nordic community, and check out the new building at Skyway Station.

Race registration, post-race refreshments, and awards will all take place at Skyway Station. Come run for a great cause—and for snow!

🎥 FRIEND OF GVORC SPOTLIGHT | Vitality Films

Some businesses tell stories. Vitality Films has helped tell the story of the Grand Valley itself.

The Grand Junction-based filmmakers are behind A Grand Day and Another Grand Day, two films that beautifully capture what makes this place so special: the incredible diversity of landscapes, outdoor experiences and adventures available right outside our doors.

A Grand Day famously follows one local adventurer from deep powder high on the Grand Mesa through seven different outdoor activities, ultimately ending the day in board shorts around a lakeside campfire. It’s a pretty great reminder that here in the Grand Valley, adventure isn’t something you have to travel far to find.

Through creative storytelling and a distinctly local lens, Vitality Films has helped showcase the landscapes, people and outdoor lifestyle that make Western Colorado such an extraordinary place to live, work and play.

We’re proud to have Vitality Films as a Friend of GVORC and grateful for their support of our outdoor recreation community.

Some of the region’s best mountain bikers will take on the legendary Lunch Loops trail system, racing three demanding stages across the technical desert terrain that makes Grand Junction a world-class mountain biking destination.

Saturday features pre-riding, packet pickup and live music, with racing kicking off Sunday morning and festivities continuing at Handlebar Tap House through the afternoon.

Registration is still open, so there’s time to get in on the action—or come out, cheer on the riders and help showcase Grand Junction’s incredible outdoor recreation community.

🚴 Tour of the Moon returns to Grand Junction on Saturday, September 12!

Cyclists will take on one of Colorado’s most iconic rides through the Colorado National Monument and along the Riverfront Trail. Walk-on registration is welcome for those who still want to join the ride!

Area residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead and consider alternate routes Saturday morning, as the event will impact travel through the Monument and portions of the Riverfront Trail.

Thanks for your patience and support as we welcome riders to the Grand Valley!
