SCAM ALERT: Beware of fake “food stamp settlement” emails

We’ve received reports from SNAP recipients who have received emails about a “food stamp settlement” from [email protected]. This message is not from Mesa County Department of Human Services and may be a phishing scam.

If you receive an unexpected email about your SNAP benefits:
- Do not click links or download attachments.
- Do not provide personal, banking or benefit information.
- Be cautious of messages offering unexpected settlements, refunds or payments.

When in doubt, contact MCDHS directly through an official channel.
