Granada Hills Charter (GHC) proudly celebrated our eighth-grade students as they culminated their middle school journey and advanced to high school. Surrounded by family, friends, and educators, students were recognized for their academic achievements, personal growth, and commitment to excellence.

During the ceremony, our CEO/Superintendent challenged students to embrace a powerful mindset as they enter high school: willingness.

Be willing to ask questions.
Be willing to take on challenges.
Be willing to learn from setbacks.
Be willing to stand up for what is right and include others.

As part of our commitment to preparing students for success in college, career, and life, we know that willingness—combined with courage, integrity, and perseverance—will help our students thrive in the years ahead.

🎓 Congratulations, Class of 2026!

On Thursday night, 1,160 Highlanders from Granada Hills Charter (GHC) marked their graduation, prepared for life as Highlanders alumni.

Together with more than 6,000 family members, friends, faculty, and staff, we celebrated a class defined by excellence, perseverance, leadership, and service.

⭐ 1,160 Graduates
⭐ 360+ Students with GPAs Above 4.0
⭐ Valedictorian Jason Thomas Bowden (4.86 GPA) headed to Stanford University
⭐ ASB President Bella Estephan headed to UCLA
⭐ First-generation college students, future physicians, engineers, educators, researchers, entrepreneurs, artists, and leaders

CEO/Superintendent Brian Bauer reminded graduates that while technology may evolve, the world will always need people who lead with purpose, conviction, and compassion.

As Valedictorian, Jason Bowden told his classmates, "The waters are waiting for us. Let's dive in!"

Granada Hills Charter proudly congratulates rising senior Audrey Choi on being named a 2026 Bezos Scholar alongside educator/mentor Kristen Whitman!

Selected from a highly competitive national applicant pool, Audrey and Coach Whitman are among only twelve scholar teams selected nationwide for this prestigious leadership program through the Bezos Family Foundation.

As part of the year-long experience, scholars will attend the Aspen Ideas Festival and develop a Community Change Project designed to make a lasting impact in their communities.

We are incredibly proud of this outstanding achievement and excited to see the difference Audrey will continue to make.

More than 1,200 students from 41 Southern California high schools participated in this incredible musical experience celebrating artistry, collaboration, and music education.

We are proud to celebrate Granada Hills Charter students whose work was selected for the official National EXPO after a highly competitive national review process!

Several student entries advanced to the final round, including individual Mandarin performance assessments and a Mandarin class song. Their success reflects the creativity, dedication, and global mindset our students are building through world language education.

In today’s world, learning another language is more than a class — it is a critical 21st-century skill that opens doors to communication, cultural understanding, and future opportunity.

📚 Our grades 6–8 teams brought home third place overall at the Annual Regional Reading Decathlon at Sherman Oaks Center for Enriched Studies!

🏆 All of our teams performed incredibly well, and a special shoutout to The Page Turners (Hasom, Lily C., Alana M., Javier, Parnika, and Arjan) for taking first place in their division!

✨ We’re so proud of all 24 students who competed and the 36 students who were part of our program this year.

💚 A big thank you to Carmen Rivas and Brendan Ashley for volunteering as officials on Saturday!
