Come down and join us on April 18th from 11am-1pm as we have our open house for RecruitNY! New volunteers are always welcome and come down to check out the department.

This afternoon our department operated at an out-of-county mutual aid brush fire within the Ellenville Fire District.

Our department and members deployed our brush fire equipment which included the first call for our new UTV 67-63!

Reminder: The New York State Burn Ban is in effect until May 14th, 2026. Please avoid any outdoor burning and use extra caution.

Today, four members were able to go down to Firehouse Innovations LI, Inc. for training on the departments new forceable entry door! They will be able to now train all department members on this great new purchase. This was also purchased by the departments hard work and dedication from the grant winnings for being the 2025 Healthiest Fire Department through Sullivan 180! Great job gentlemen!

We are very happy to bring the 97th SCVFA Parade back to our town this year! We hope to see everyone there!

“We hope to have a nice family event at the fairgrounds afterwards,” Bracken said. “We hope everybody comes out and enjoys the festivities.”

Last night we held our Annual Installation Dinner, celebrating our achievements in 2025 and looking forward to an even better 2026. Thank you to all our members and loved ones for their time and service to our community and thank you to all our invited guests for helping make our night so special.

We honored Joe Pond, who has been a member since October 1969, as he ends his decades long tenure as a Treasurer of the Department. Thank you for your service!

We also presented our yearly awards:

Congratulations to Michael Garigliano for being named our Firefighter of the Year. Mike has been an integral member of the Grahamsville Fire Department for nearing on 50 years and can always be counted on to lead by example.

Congratultions to Andrew Garigliano on receiving the President’s Award for all his dedication, hardwork, and contributions to the department.

As hosts of the 2026 SCVFA Parade, we also asked 53-1 John Hauschild to serve as Grand Marshall for the event and he graciously accepted. We look forward to honoring him and his hard work for our county at the parade on September 12th!
