This week is Wisconsin School Board Appreciation Week! We want to express our deepest gratitude to the members of our Board of Education. Thank you for your selfless service, thoughtful leadership, and endless dedication to our students, staff, and community.
We helped sweeten their week with gourmet caramel apples from Sweettrio—a small token of thanks for all the big things they do for our schools!

We’re starting the school year by shining a light on the people who make our district extra special! ✨

Our new initiative, Excellence in Action, invites staff to recognize peers who tackle challenges creatively and consistently excel in their work. We were blown away to receive 143 nominations in September alone!

Congratulations to this month’s randomly selected representatives:
• Grace Garcia (KES)
• Marie Arthur (WES)
• Shannon Hinkel (JLMS)
• Kim Yunker (GHS)
• Jennie Gunderson (District-Wide)

Thank you to our winners and every nominee across the district for inspiring excellence and keeping our students at the center of everything you do!

Behind every sparkling clean floor, fully stocked soap dispenser, and smooth-running day, there’s a superhero who doesn’t get enough credit.

Today is National Custodian Appreciation Day, and we’re giving a HUGE shoutout to our Grafton School District Custodial Team! Thank you for working tirelessly behind the scenes to keep our spaces clean, safe, and welcoming every single day.

Drop a thank-you note in the comments to show them some love!

KES 3rd graders just brought literature to life! 📚🦡 To cap off their 3rd Grade Amplify Classic Tales unit, students hosted a special Wind in the Willows celebration. After weeks of building vocabulary, exploring personification, and crafting their own original narratives, these scholars definitely earned their moment in the spotlight! 🌿✨

Bright young minds at Kennedy Elementary are shining bright with hands-on science! ☀️ 1st graders recently built their own Sun Trackers as part of the PLTW Launch curriculum module, Light: Observing the Sun, Moon, and Stars. By tracking how shadows shift in length and position throughout the day, these student scientists are seeing firsthand how the sun moves across the sky.

Then, help us pack the stands this Friday night as Grafton's Varsity Football team takes on Port Washington at 7:00 PM during the Homecoming Football Game!
