Notice to Residents of Dublin Street, Gorham, NH:

North Country Paving will return tomorrow, Friday, June 19, 2026, to complete the paving on Dublin Street. Main Street traffic will not be impacted. However, the end of Dublin Street may need to be temporarily closed while work is underway.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Notice to Residents of Dublin Street:

Starting Wednesday, June 17, 2026, the Gorham Water & Sewer Department will be closing the Main Street end of Dublin Street beginning at 6:00 AM. The road will remain closed for the entire day.

This closure is necessary to complete grading and paving work on both Main and Dublin Streets following the damage caused by the May 25, 2026, water main break.

We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Notices will be hand delivered to residents on Dublin Street.

At the June 1st public hearing/Wayfinding Signage Project presentation, a survey was developed, and the town is seeking your input. The survey will only take two minutes of our time.

The Town of Gorham will be working to update our Local Emergency Operations Plan. Members of the community are welcome to join us at our meetings as we work on this important task. Our second meeting will be at the Town Hall on Thursday June 25th at 10:00. This update is grant funded by FEMA and NH Homeland Security with 50% of the cost being matched by attendance at the meetings.

Recent legislation has updated the building and life and safety codes in effect in the State of NH.

The following State Building Codes become effective July 1, 2026 with a 6-month grace period:

International Building Code 2024 (IBC) with NH amendments
International Existing Building Code 2024 (IEBC) with NH amendments
International Energy Conservation Code 2018 (IECC) with NH amendments
International Mechanical Code 2024 (IMC) with NH amendments
International Plumbing Code 2024 (IPC) with NH amendments
International Residential Code 2024 (IRC) with NH amendments
International Swimming Pool and Spa Code 2024 (ISPSC) with NH amendments
National Electrical Code 2023 (NEC)

The following State Fire Codes will be in effect as of July 27th, 2026 with no grace period:

NFPA 1 2024 with NH amendments.
NFPA 101 2024 with NH amendments.
Through adoption all NFPA codes listed within the above documents have also been updated.

As a reminder, all construction, remodeling, roofing, window replacement etc. require a permit which can be obtained at the Town Hall. All electrical, plumbing, and mechanical work performed by a licensed contractor also requires a permit prior to the start of work.

The Gorham Water & Sewer Department would like to share an update on the continued work stemming from the recent water main break at the Dublin/Main Street intersection.

Crews removed the asphalt on Dublin Street, thoroughly inspected and compacted the subsurface, and brought in new gravel to stabilize and level the roadway. Dublin Street has now been reopened to traffic. Final paving will take place once contractor quotes are obtained and a schedule is set.
