Dear Petsworth Families,

Out of an abundance of caution, we wanted to make you aware of a recent toy recall. You may recognize this toy as a similar model to one given as a prize during Readathon. Although the prizes were not purchased from either of the distributors mentioned in the recall, we strongly encourage you to check the date code on your toy.

The recall is specifically for toys sold at Ollie's and Walmart from February 2025 through April 2026. It involves two models of Orb Funkee squeeze toys with the date code 3102491A. The products are made of a soft, stretchable material and filled with sand. Model 17451 is a large golden monkey (stylized “monkee”), and model 41929 is an assortment of small “monkees” in various colors, including orange, purple and green. The date code can be found on the hand of the golden monkee or the back of the smaller monkees.

We are so proud of our K-1 Palette Pals, who represented us at Arts on Main last week! Their creativity is amazing. Congrats to Mollie Seltzer, who was voted “Best in Show!” 🎉

💐 What a wonderful morning at our annual Mom’s Breakfast yesterday! Our cafeteria was filled with around 270 kids, moms, grandmas, and aunts.

We are so grateful to all of the families who joined us and took time out of your busy week to make your child feel special. Thank you for all you do each day to ensure that lunches are packed and homework is completed. We know how much work moms do that is often unseen, and we appreciate you. 💕

A very special thank you to Bellamy United Methodist Women in Faith for sponsoring the breakfast for this event!

Thank you also to the cafeteria staff for working hard to feed our families while also preparing regular breakfasts and lunches. They are truly School Lunch Heroes! 💛
