Today is an historical day in politics. It is our first runnoff election in South Dakota History. I haven't endorsed anyone, and I'm not going to here either. But I will say this:

If you vote for Larry Rhoden...I still love you.

If you vote for Toby Doeden....I still love you.

Tomorrow, let's leave our petty differences behind and "Get back to work!!!"

The results are in. Thank you all so much for the vote of confidence. I am absolutely humbled by your support and look forward to once again serving the great people of District 23. I want to thank Amber Werdel and Dick Werner for running a clean campaign, one of the only ones in South Dakota.

I am going to do the one thing you should never do in politics, betray someone’s trust by telling you what happens when no one is looking.

Tomorrow is the big day. A day we have all been waiting for. A winner will be chosen, and the ads and text messages will end. Many of you know that I have been a big supporter of Jon Hansen. Allow me to explain why.

Like many of you, I'm tired of the wealthy getting their way by manipulating you with money and lies. I just want a normal South Dakotan with Christian values to lead our state. We finally have that in Jon Hansen.

I have seen him in action for over 8 years, and he's risen to the occasion every time. He has taken up the fight for the people, not just on camera, but behind closed doors. I have watched him convince an entire room of leaders that he wasn't going to do that to the citizens of South Dakota because thats not right and damn the politcal consequences, and in standing firm, he has been able to change everyone’s minds.

He is a fighter, and a fighter for you. Jon reminds me of the bold adage, "It's better to stand with the people against the powerful than it is to stand against those that need him."

He stood up for the people during the lock downs in covid. He stood for the people when the government threatened to take what people owned dear, and he even stood for those without a voice when out-of-state wealthy groups wanted to make it a right to murder the unborn. These aren’t small fights, and yet he has led the charge every time.

It's time folks. We have the guy we have all been waiting for. The average South Dakotan from a small town with a normal job supporting his wife and six kids while trying to make your lives better. He is the only one that hasn't attacked a single South Dakotan in this race, and that’s the kind of leader I think we all deserve.

Please, let's elect one of us, Jon Hansen for Governor of the great state of South Dakota.

Vote Dan Kaiser for sheriff. He is a man of integrity and principles. He is the only candidate that can take an unbiased approach to leadership without having to cross any lines. Elect the most qualified, professional and prepared.. elect Dan Kaiser as your Sheriff

As we wind down the campaign season, I want to ensure that people are getting accurate information so that they can make the best choices. There has been a lot of damaging and deceitful material out there meant to manipulate you to vote a certain way. Recently, a campaign was launched by what I call the Doeden group to make it appear like we are running as a team and that there are mutual endorsements in our campaigns. I have asked this party to stop, and was informed that they intend to move forward with their campaign in the upcoming days. Therefore, a group of us got together to formally issue a cease and desist letter asking them to stop using us without our authorization. I interpret this as political grifting and is dishonest at best. I, like all of you, dislike the corruption and lies and merely want the record set straight.

!!!CAMPAIGN ALERT!!!!

In the upcoming week, the negative and slanderous ads will vamp up, and even more troubling, I have been told that Toby Doeden will be releasing a card that is meant to mislead the public regarding who I support in the other races. His history of lying and dirty tactics is why :

I DO NOT SUPPORT TOBY DOEDEN.

I have endorsed Jon Hansen for South Dakota Governor. Lems Lt. Governor from the beginning, and I still feel that Jon is the right man for the job.
