The Glendora Public Works Yard supports many of the day-to-day operations that keep the city running.
In 1991, a Texaco gas station originally built in the 1940s to serve travelers along Route 66 was relocated to the yard as a temporary workshop — and that structure is still in use today.
As the city has grown, the needs of this department have also changed. The yard currently has limited space and infrastructure to store equipment and support operations.
This post is part of our ongoing effort to share information about the facilities that serve Glendora and provide context on their current condition.
