-----------------ATTENTION -------------------

-Special Forces Information Briefing will be held May 17th, 2023 @ 1300hrs.

-Prior Service candidates must be at least 20yrs old and the rank of E-1 thru E-7 or O-2 thru O-3.

-If you are currently serving or have ever served in any branch, enlisted or officer, you are considered as a prior service applicant.

***May attend the briefing as a civilian BUT must be in a pay status
to attend the SFRE***

-Non-Prior Service (never served in any military before) cannot attend our SFRE and must enlist into the Maryland Army National Guard as a Special Forces Candidate (18X).

-Special Forces recruiter will be available for any questions/to assist with enlistment process.

-Interviews will be conducted onsite.

-Civilian attire, no military uniforms.

Special Forces Soldiers in the Army National Guard are elite warriors in their military life and also have civilian careers. Their deployments are less frequent than those of Active Duty Green Berets, but their standards are the same. They must be highly trained, highly intelligent and capable of reaching their objectives, no matter what. Special Forces Groups hold Special Forces Evaluation days for military personnel from any branch and also civilians who are interested in getting an idea of what would be required of them.
