These individuals are nominated by their peers and are chosen by their supervisors for outstanding performance.

Deputies with the Crawford County Sheriff's Office, along with several other local law enforcement agencies including the Kansas Highway Patrol, the Cherokee Co Sheriff's Office- Kansas, the Arma Police Department and the Cherokee Police Department participated in a roving vehicle enforcement event on Saturday evening. This event primarily focused on seatbelt, speed, and DUI enforcement.

In total, more than 140 violators were stopped for these and other violations and 35 drivers were cited for offenses.

Additionally, 5 impaired drivers were removed from the roads in Crawford County alone.

The Crawford County Sheriff's Office is committed to promoting traffic safety through enforcement of Kansas State Laws on public roadways throughout Crawford County.

Deputies responded to this semi that went down the wrong road, then got stuck trying to turn around on E. 510 Avenue west of US-69.

Heads up, morning commuters!

Crawford County Road and Bridge will be paving S. 260th Street north of KS-171 Highway (Opolis Road) TOMORROW MORNING (June 2nd) to around E. 530th Avenue.

This road will not be passable between starting at around 7 AM, so use another route if this is your normal morning commute.

Starting on July 1, 2026, the fees are changing from $20 to $30 each time you are required to register. This fee is not optional! It is required by Kansas State Law.
