After serving as your Chief of Police since October 2021, my final day with the Giddings Police Department will be May 29. On June 1, I start a new role for the Texas Juvenile Justice Department Office of the Inspector General.

During my time here, our department prioritized training and built a daily culture of accountability and teamwork. We secured several grants that paid directly for modern equipment. We also started the Citizen Police Academy to give you a clear look at how our agency operates.

We took direct action to improve officer retention. By implementing a new pay matrix and adding certification pay, we ensured our experienced officers stay on our streets.

I leave the department in a state of complete operational readiness. Thank you for your support over the last few years.

Giddings Law Enforcement received an emergency alert at Giddings Intermediate School. Officers immediately responded and determined it was a false alert. School is resuming as normal.
