Colorado law increasingly recognizes coercive control as a pattern of domestic abuse that can matter in family court and other safety-related decisions, even when individual controlling behaviors may not independently be crimes.

Coercive control can include isolation, financial control, monitoring, intimidation, threats, and other behaviors used to maintain power and control over another person.

We would like to highlight and share the work that Tough as a Mother does for mothers around the state.
If you are a mother who is looking for extra support while dealing with addiction. They offer service navigation, support groups, and have stories from other mothers.
Being a parent is hard and you are not alone. Find more resources in the link below.

If you are using alcohol, ma*****na and/or other drugs to cope with stress or trauma, you are not alone. Support is available so you can be the strongest mom possible.

Colorado Legal Services' next call-in clinic is today, Thursday, August 6th from 4:30 - 6 p.m. The clinic number is 1-800-521-6968. This clinic occurs monthly the first Thursday of each month.

This clinic is for seniors and low-income community members. It provides brief, one-on-one legal advice in the areas of family law, tenant/landlord law, protection orders, and consumer/collections. This Thursday clinic is in addition to the call-in clinic that Colorado Legal Services offers the third Wednesday of each month from 5 - 7:30 p.m.
