Oh how I wish I could share ALL the photos! These are of my own family who joined about 80 others for our Foster Family camping weekend. I've dreamt of a weekend like this for years, and I can honestly say it was better than I dreamt! Like-minded people connected. Kids fit in, that don't usually feel like they fit in. Age, race, gender, background, disability....none of it mattered. There were smiles, relaxation and contentment wherever I looked....even on faces of parents of more kiddos than I can fit in my 7-seater vehicle. The weather was perfect. The bugs were reasonable. Food and drink was plentiful. But more than anything, immeasurable acceptance, peace, and love among "our people". Thank you to Amy Haggitt Sikorski who connected us with the camp and worked endlessly to help make this happen! Many have already requested we do this again.....and I think "yes" is a safe answer! Watch for next year's date!
