The Office of Judge Executive isn't just a "Title". Not only is it Imperative to have a Business Background, one also has to be able to manage the County Road Department.
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Almost 30 Years of Business Experience
*Lifetime of Large Equipment Operation & Maintenance
*Relentless Work Ethic
PLATFORM:
*BIG TAX CUT(The Fiscal Court Insurance Premium is Budgeted for $1.6 Million 2026/2027 and it will be put into the "General Fund". I have ran the numbers and the Fact that it is only being collected, rather than used, FC should cut the Tax in Half. FC sits on a minimum of $3 Million at all times. The Tax Cut will relieve everyone outside of the City Limits of Hardinsburg, Cloverport and Irvington. And it will GREATLY Relieve everyone that has a TEEN DRIVER that pays inflated Insurance Premiums.
*IMPLEMENT GIS System for the County Road Department. I'm all about EFFICIENCY & ACCOUNTABILITY. Putting the GIS System to work for the Road Department(Will cost roughly $800-1,200), I will be able to accrue REAL TIME DATA that either proves or disproves, work being done. It will also allow me to Prioritize Safety or Road Issues. It's time to move into the Digital Age rather than standing pat.
*FULL TIME GRANT WRITER/CONNECTION TO FRANKFORT, I plan to push for a Full Time Grant Writer that Focuses on State & Federal Funding. The Citizens of Breckinridge County have been "Squeezed to the Limit" and it's time to find relief outside of Breckinridge County. Not Only will I be after EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR AVAILABLE, but I will also begin a GRANT MATCHING FUNDS ACCOUNT(with the other 2.5% of the Insurance Premium). A lot of Grants are "Matching Grants", therefore it's Imperative to have Funds on Standby.
*IMPROVING INFRASTRUCTURE This is a BIGGIE. With over 600 miles of roads in Breckinridge County, it's almost impossible to have every road be perfect, but setting up a Priority Road System, will be the first step in seeing that the roads are held to higher standards. The Priority Road System will enable the Road Department to get a better grasp on the Importance of County Roads that are "THRU-ROADS" as well as Roads that have more homes on them, versus roads with Fewer.
*EMERGENCY SNOW REMOVAL PLAN Breckinridge County is fortunate to not have to deal with Large Snow Falls or Ice Storms annually but on occasion, we get hit pretty hard. Rather than spending a million dollars on Snow Equipment, I would like to set up an "On Call Snow Removal System", that encourages Local Farmers and/or Local Contractors, to be on call for such an event. This in turn, will be a way to put some money in the pockets of Breckinridge County citizens and also avoid depreciation and maintenance cost for the County Road Department. The Combination of GIS plus this Snow Removal Plan, will be much more efficient than anything we currently have.
*ROAD DEPARTMENT EQUIPMENT LEASE PROGRAM I plan to set up a Lease Program for the Majority of the County Road Equipment. Why buy equipment when you can lease it and avoid HIGH MAINTENANCE COSTS, as well as DEPRECIATION? New Equipment not only requires a Mechanic for repair, but also a Technician. So why not keep a revolving Equipment Lease Program that keeps all of our Equipment under warranty, with no maintenance costs?
*BRING THE COUNTY TOGETHER Breckinridge County will function as ONE on my watch. I plan to include Irvington, Cloverport, the Rough River Area and every other community in Breck. County, in almost every venture in my term. Rather than infighting, it's time to work as ONE. And the best way to include everyone, is COMMUNICATION. With proper communication, citizens understand the plan, versus making assumptions.
*SPEED UP WATER & HI SPEED INTERNET EXPANSION With my GRANT WRITER in place, we will go after every dollar of funding available and help Infrastructure projects expand at a much quicker rate. The time is now, if not yesterday and beginning in January of 2027, we will hit the ground running.
Excused Voting is going on Now at the Courthouse and Non Excused Voting begins on the Thursday, May 14th and runs through the 16th. And of course, Election is Tues, May 19th from 6am-6pm County-Wide.

May is here and it's almost Election Day! I am very proud of the Campaign that I have ran and feel very good about my chances of winning. County-Wide Races are tough and especially whenever you are running against the Incumbent. Our current Judge Executive has been in office for 15.5 years and I appreciate his efforts over that period of time, but I feel like this county is looking for change.
I feel as though I am hands down the Best Candidate to succeed him. I am the only Candidate with almost 30 years of Business Experience and a Lifetime of Large Equipment Operation and Maintenance. I feel as though my Platform has established what I plan to achieve.
* Tax Cut The Jail is Paid off yet Fiscal Court continues to collect a 5% Insurance Premium that is being dumped into the General Fund. 15.5 Years ago, it was $650,000. The Proposed 2025-26 Budget is $1.6 Million. That's a $950,000 increase. I want to see that rate cut in HALF, to 2.5%, which will still net Fiscal Court around $800,000 Annually.
*Hire Full Time Grant Writer I want someone whose Primary Focus is State and Federal Funding that can benefit the County as well as the Cities of Cloverport, Irvington & Hardinsburg. The biggest Objective being Infrastructure Expansion but also working towards a County Water Park for Kids.
*GIS System for the Road Department It's time to run Breckinridge County more Efficiently by using Technology to our benefit. GIS will give us real time data of Road Work being Completed as well as Repairs. (will only cost $800-1,200 to set up, but will save the County Thousands)
*Road Department Equipment Rotating Lease Program As a Large Equipment Service Provider, I understand that Maintenance is the number one cost to owning equipment. As an Equipment Owner, I realize that Depreciation is rapid.

As Election Day nears(20 days away), I'd like to first and foremost, thank my Family and Supporters for sticking with me throughout this Campaign.

I want to say that I really appreciate ALL of The Support in this year's Judge Executive Campaign. It has been very humbling to say the least.

Today I would like to talk about what I believe to be the 3 Key Elements of Being A Good Judge Executive Candidate.

#1 Leadership & Originality: Being A Leader isn't simply a Title. It's about understanding what one's role is and bringing people together. It's about being able to work through instances as they arise and finding solutions. It's about being original, being driven and being honest. I have noticed that at each Forum, almost Every Single Question has been about my Last 2 Platforms. That tells me that people are hearing what I am saying and are ready for change.

#2 Being a Businessman: The Judge Executive Office has many roles but the Primary Role is putting together a Budget for Fiscal Court. Understanding how to Budget your Personal Bank Account is one thing, but to Put together a Budget for Multiple Areas, is something Unique in itself. That's where having a Business Background is almost Imperative. (I've had over 27 years of business experience and have been able to manage 2 different Small Businesses). Budgeting a Private Business presents as many challenges as anything imaginable BUT it has Prepared me for the Role.

#3 Large Equipment Background: I firmly believe that there would be a Very Few Candidates across the Entire Commonwealth that would have the Equipment Experience that I bring to the table. I have spent my Entire Life Operating, Repairing and Replacing Large Equipment. I believe that I have the background to run our County Road Department as Effieciently as it has been ran in years. I understand how to get the most out of employees as well as giving the employees what they need in order to get the job done. I believe that having a good infrastructure is a Priority for Breckinridge County's success and having an Efficient & Functional Road Department is Imperative. I believe in thinking "outside the box" and am always open to making things better. (That is why I plan to institute the GIS System in order to accumulate Real Time Data for the Road Dept.)

I believe that with my background, that Fiscal Court and Myself can put together the Most Productional Road Department that this county has ever had, but it's going to require Work and I plan to pour my time into it.
