The results are final, and WE DID IT! After the final canvass, I have won the At-Large Seat by 16 votes, and will begin my term for the USD 231 Gardner Edgerton School Board in January!

When the vote is this close, you just have to trust the process through the final step...which has made for an incredibly long 10 days. Now that the results have been certified in both Johnson and Miami counties, it is time to refocus on the work ahead. I am so incredibly honored, and excited, for the opportunity to serve my community once again, and promise to give this district everything I have in pursuit of excellence.

Again, to those of you that have supported me along the way, I offer my most sincere thanks. I will be forever in your debt, and will never forget how you stood in my corner. THANK YOU!

Thank you to my family for the hours they spent helping with the campaign, and being behind me every step of the way. My family and my community mean everything to me, and days like these just make me more proud to call Gardner my hometown.

Congratulations to Mrs. Lang on a well ran campaign. I appreciate her willingness to serve, and the many long hours I know she also put in to this campaign.

4:30 UPDATE: We got an update today from JoCo that included additional mail in ballots. With those calculated, my lead has extended to 29. That's exactly what we needed to see with those ballots yet to be counted. Still several days left of tracking, though.

Hi everyone, just a quick note to let you know that there are no new updates. After last night, including a small sliver of Miami County that is part of USD 231, I am still leading...by 13 votes.

At this point, we will have to wait until the final canvass on Tuesday of next week to know the final results. I'll learn very little in the meantime. With the remaining mail-in and provisional ballots, I will need to get 50% of those votes, but I have no idea how big that universe might be. Previous elections lead me to believe it should be in the 75-100 range, but you just never know.

Hi everyone. So, it's been an incredibly exciting night. Seeing the votes come in is just about as stressful as you can imagine, and then we see results this tight. Wow! It's an incredible testament to the work we've done during the campaign, and incredibly humbling to have 1661 people check that box for you.

Here's what I know right now: These are unofficial results...so I am ahead but certainly cannot be declared the winner. There are still some outstanding mail in votes to tally, and probably some provisional ballots from today's in person voting. It's absolutely possible that this margin could tighten. I just don't know, and I'm not certain of the timeline. I'll keep you posted.

With all that said, I am nearly overwhelmed with pride and appreciation this evening. It's hard for me to articulate, but I love this town, and knowing how hard we worked, and how many people recognized that, is a feeling you can only experience on Election Night.

Tonight...tonight I simply say THANK YOU! From the very bottom of my heart. Stay tuned.

Election Day is tomorrow! I hope that I have earned your vote, and I hope you have had the opportunity to share your support with your friends and family.

When I decided to run, it was for one very simple reason...I love being a Blazer. I love this City, and I love our schools. I want to see this district excel in every way possible, and be recognized as one of the very best districts in the state of Kansas. I think it is absolutely possible, and I want to help.

I believe that my combination of community engagement and experience with local government and policy making will be an asset to the Board of Education, and a benefit to this district. That's why I am running, and why I hope that I have earned your vote.

After roughly three months, we've had our last regular canvassing day. We've been to thousands of homes in Gardner and Edgerton, and have had hundreds of great conversations with families in our district. I'm so grateful for the opportunity to listen to their excitement for USD 231, and to learn about their challenges and suggestions. We have so much to be proud of, but should absolutely push ourselves to be better. That might be what excites me the most....the future of our schools.

Thanks to these two rock stars for helping today, and for so many others that have helped along the way. It has absolutely been a team effort, and I will forever be grateful.

Today is your last opportunity to take advantage of Advance In-Person voting at New Century Fieldhouse. It's very quick and easy. Right now, we're trending slightly above the early voting numbers from 2021, and I would love to see that margin spread wider.

Congratulations to the Blazer Football Team! Regional Champs, and on to the next round of the playoffs.

It was an awesome night at Trailblazer Stadium, and the boys dominated from the first snap. What a fantastic day to be a Blazer!

On Monday, the Board of Education will be considering a legislative platform that I believe to be long overdue. This is an important document for us to share with our local legislators and government partners in Topeka to make certain that they are fully informed on the legislative positions of the district. I'm thankful to see this come to fruition, and look forward to the discussion on Monday evening.

Today and tomorrow are your final opportunities to cast your advance voting ballot locally at New Century Fieldhouse. There are three locations open further north on Monday until noon, and then we move on to Election Day on Tuesday.

Regardless of which day you vote, I just hope you take the time to do so. Your vote is never more impactful then it is in local elections.
