🚑 MCFRS Quarterly EMS Awards Recognition 🚑

Over the past week, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service proudly recognized the extraordinary efforts of our personnel during some of the most challenging EMS incidents we face. These calls often involve cardiac arrest—situations where every second matters and teamwork makes the difference between life and loss.

We are incredibly proud to share that many of these incidents resulted in successful resuscitations and cardiac arrest survivals. These outcomes are a direct reflection of the dedication, skill, and unwavering commitment of our responders, as well as the strength of our community.

It was especially meaningful to celebrate alongside the very individuals whose lives were saved, along with the community members who played a vital role in the chain of survival. From early recognition and CPR to advanced life support, these moments highlight what can be achieved when our community and responders work together.

To all of our men and women who delivered exceptional care under pressure, and to our community partners who stepped up in critical moments—we thank you and commend you. Your actions exemplify the very best of public service.

👏 Let’s give them a well-deserved round of applause as we honor their outstanding service and dedication to our community.

Two civilians were evaluated on scene by EMS personnel. Thankfully, no life-threatening injuries were reported at the time of the incident.

The MCFRS Honor Guard stood with quiet strength at Arlington, carrying more than ceremony—they carried legacy. We honored one of our own, an officer who answered the call at the Pentagon on 9/11 and later gave his life to occupational cancer.

Tradition is not just what we do—it’s who we are. We remember. We honor. We carry forward the names and stories of those who served with courage, so their sacrifice is never forgotten.

In every step, every salute, and every folded flag, we stand united—past, present, and future.
We will always remember.
