HCSO had the honor of taking part in two ๐ฅ๐๐ป๐ป๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฒ๐ events during the month of May with our friend Andrew Collinson.
If you follow our social media platforms, you know that Andrew has been honoring the memories of fallen public safety officers for several years, making a one-mile tribute run for officers who have died in the line of duty. As part of his mission, Andrew asks for public safety es**rts as he runs.
On ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฒ, SRO Zack Marley was part of the es**rt team as Andrew honored Deputy Joe Crumpton of the ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐น๐ฑ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ต๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ณ๐ณ'๐ ๐ข๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ in Griffin, Ga. Deputy Crumpton, 62, had a heart attack in his patrol vehicle after he had spent the day transporting inmates from one agency to another. His End of Watch was Dec. 9, 2025.
On ๐ ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฌ, Andrew honored two fallen first responders: Officer David Rose of the ๐๐ฒ๐ธ๐ฎ๐น๐ฏ ๐๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ in metro Atlanta and Officer Dylan Chase Owen of the ๐๐ถ๐๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ฒ ๐ฃ๐ผ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ ๐๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ in Alabama. Officer Rose was shot and killed on Aug. 8, 2025, after he responded to an active shooter call near the Centers for Disease Control in Atlanta. Officer Owen died on May 14, 2026, after his patrol vehicle crashed into a tree. HCSO Patrol Deputy Grace Jackson was part of Andrew's es**rt team on May 20.
