π September is Hydrocephalus Awareness Month! π
***Texas public schools are required to observe Hydrocephalus Awareness Month as an opportunity to educate, raise awareness, and support understanding of this condition.***
Ever heard of hydrocephalus?
Hydrocephalus is a chronic brain condition caused by an abnormal buildup of cerebrospinal fluid in the brain. There is currently no cure, and the primary treatment is brain surgery.
More than 1 million Americans live with hydrocephalus. For some children, the journey can mean undergoing more brain surgeries than birthdays.
Awareness matters.
π By learning more and sharing information, we can help others recognize the challenges faced by individuals and families living with hydrocephalus.
