🗳️ Tomorrow, Tuesday, August 11, is Election Day!

I sincerely appreciate your support as you head to the polls tomorrow. It has been an honor to serve our community, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving on the Cherokee County School Board.

Even though I am unopposed in the School Board election, I encourage everyone to exercise your right to vote and make your voice heard!

The Special Election Primary for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Lindsey Graham will also be held tomorrow.

As we prepare to welcome our students back for the first day of school, I want to take a moment to wish all of our students, teachers, staff, administrators, and families a wonderful and successful school year.

To our students—believe in yourself, work hard, be kind, and never be afraid to ask questions or try something new. Every school year brings new opportunities to learn, grow, make memories, and discover your potential.

To our teachers and staff—thank you for the time, dedication, patience, and heart you give to our children every day. Your influence reaches far beyond the classroom, and the impact you make will last a lifetime.

I was always nervous the night before the first day of school. A sleepless night, even after 36 years!

From the bus drivers, custodians, cafeteria servers, teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators and district leaders: I pray for for a successful, safe school year with minimal anxiety, and a focus for true learning! May we all have a great school year! 📚🎓✏️📓📝📔📖🖇️🖍️

Serving our students, families, teachers, and community has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Together, we’ve worked to strengthen our schools, support academic excellence, improve safety, and ensure every student has the opportunity to succeed.
