๐Ÿ€ Our CWR 4-H Overnight Camp, July 5-9, is quickly approaching and as we are preparing, I wanted to ask and see if anyone has extra items they would be willing to donate. As campers pack, someone will undoubtedly forget to pack an essential item. If anyone has any of the following items they would like to donate, we would very much appreciate it!

- Bedding (twin sheets and pillow cases)
- Toiletries (mini shampoo and conditioner, body wash, bar soap, deodorant, toothpaste/toothbrush, hair brushes, and hair ties). The mini bottles you get at hotels are great!
- Towels (for swimming and shower)
- Non-aerosol sunscreen
- Socks (they always go missing!)
- Refillable water bottles

Items can be dropped off at the Extension Office, just please let us know what to expect ahead of time. Thank you for helping us make camp a great experience for our youth!๐Ÿ€

One of our awesome volunteers, Ryan Atkins, put on a fitting clinic for our 4-H and FFA Livestock Exhibitors this morning. We are very blessed to have such wonderful volunteers who are always willing to teach our youth new skills and to help them build confidence in everything they do!

This week we held our Clarke-Warren-Rappahannock 4-H Cloverbud Day Camp at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center. Over 20 Cloverbuds participated, where they made different crafts, did group activities, and learned camp songs and games from our awesome Camp Teens!

Some highlights were making air dry clay and painting it, painting table cloths, making ice cream, going on a nature walk, learning why different birds have different shaped beaks, completing a chalk obstacle course, and so much more!

Thank you to Claudia Lefeve the Clarke County 4-H Agent and Izzy Kim the Rappahannock County 4-H Agent for helping to put this on! Our counties will be back together in a few weeks for our CWR 4-H Overnight Camp July 5-9.

Warren County 4-H has been overrun by chickens lately!

We had 45 chicks hatch in our 2nd grade classrooms this past week for their embryology project. Yesterday we held our Rabbit and Poultry Workshop where youth learned about proper care, health, breeds and parts, showmanship, and went home with a small animal first aid kit they put together. Thank you to Grace Bucklen and Ken Mathews for helping with the workshop, and for the continued strong partnership with FFA in Warren County. Warren Counry 4-H Teens, Robert Ford and Peyton Parker, also helped with the workshop, and continue to be great leaders and examples to our younger 4-Hers!

Congratulations to the three Warren County 4-Hers that participated in the NW District 4-H Contests this past weekend. Roman and Mackenzie both earned blue ribbons for their table setting presentations. Mackenzie also won best in show for the junior age group for table setting. Peyton (not pictured) received a blue ribbon for his presentation as well. We are so proud of all three of them and are very thankful we have such amazing 4-Hers here in Warren County!
