On Monday, April 28, 2025 the Sandusky County Sheriff's Office welcomed Pastor Dan Vickey as our chaplain. He was sworn in by Sheriff Hilton, and we look forward to his calm, reassuring presence in our lives. He is truly a blessing to us all. Welcome Chaplain Vickey!

I have had numerous people inquire about my views on the 2nd amendment to the United States Constitution. When, as an elected official, I take my oath of office, I swear to support the Constitution of The United States and the Constitution of The State of Ohio. I take my oath and duty to my constituents very seriously. When I raise my right hand and swear, that is all that needs to be said. I believe wholeheartedly in our republic!!

On the eve of my 2nd term as Sandusky County Sheriff, I'd like to share a few photos of my swearing in by Judge Jeremiah Ray. With the way things are in our covid world, only my wife, daughter and grandson attended. I look forward to serving Sandusky County for another 4 years as its Sheriff. It's a privilege and an honor, thank you.
