I’m Stan Jones, and I’m running as a write-in candidate for Ward 4 on the Fredericksburg City School Board.

With over thirty years of experience in Virginia public education, including roles such as superintendent, deputy superintendent, director of school safety, discipline hearing officer, and other leadership positions, I have witnessed firsthand how purposeful leadership, clarity of expectations, and genuine support for teachers drive improved student outcomes.

I’m running because our children deserve nothing less, and our community deserves a board characterized by trust, accountability, and a relentless focus on results.
