🚨 SENIOR ALERT – MISSING PERSON 🚨

The Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating 84-year-old James Robert Moorhead Jr., who was last seen this morning leaving his residence on Andora Drive on foot.

Mr. Moorhead is described as 5’10”, approximately 208 lbs., with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a red or brown plaid shirt, a white baseball cap, and black shoes.

Anyone who may have seen Mr. Moorhead or has information regarding his whereabouts is asked to call 9-1-1 or the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office at (540) 582-7115.

Please share to help bring Mr. Moorhead home safely.

Follow the School Bus Safety Rules 🚌

Over the coming weeks, the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office will have additional units monitoring school buses and enforcing traffic safety laws to help keep our students and school community safe.

Under Virginia Code § 46.2-859, traffic in both directions must stop for a school bus loading or unloading passengers, unless there is a continuous median or other physical barrier separating the lanes and you are traveling in the opposite direction.

Please slow down, stay alert and always stop for school buses. Together, we can help protect our children and keep everyone safe on the road.
