In a healthy community, disagreement is not extremism. Before accepting accusations of “hate” or “extremism,” it’s worth asking a simple question: What beliefs are people actually disagreeing with?

The teacher union's training materials included:
• pronoun and gender identity instruction
• workplace transition guidance
• “Gender Unicorn” exercises
• systemic racism frameworks
• activism-oriented language around “justice” and “liberation”

Reasonable people can support, question, or oppose these ideas without being hateful. Parents deserve to see the actual materials for themselves before labels are thrown around.
