🏛️ Preserving History for Future Generations 🏛️
The National Historic Hiram Masonic Lodge #7 Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, is proud to share our mission of preserving, restoring, and educating the public about Hiram Masonic Lodge #7, a National Historic Landmark built in 1823. This remarkable building was the first three-story structure in Tennessee and once stood as the tallest building west of the Allegheny Mountains.
For nearly two centuries, Hiram Lodge No. 7 has played a central role in both local and national history. From hosting President Andrew Jackson’s 1830 Treaty with the Chickasaw Nation to serving as an observation post and hospital during the Battle of Franklin in 1864, this building’s legacy continues to inspire.
We invite you to join us in our mission to safeguard this architectural treasure and share its stories with future generations. Through our preservation efforts, educational programs, and cultural events, we aim to keep the rich history of Hiram Lodge No. 7 alive in the heart of our community.
