A big thank you to the parents who contacted the department about their children drawing on the equipment at the Memorial Park. Also, thank you for having them clean the graffiti and having them apologize publicly at the council meeting last evening. Also, thank you to the kids for doing the right thing.

To the graffiti artist who vandalized the skate park. You have until 3PM on Monday June 15, 2026 to come and turn yourselves in. We will work with you to make this wrong into a right. If not charges will be filed.

Parents please have a conversation with your children. This behavior is unacceptable and could be the reason that the parks get closed.

Day 2 recap.

Another great day. Only a few stray riders due to some signs being removed.

Final thoughts:

Great event, zero arrests required. Contact with numerous residents along the route were very positive and recommend that this become a permanent fixture for the Borough. Although they all agreed there were some minor issues that could be resolved with the placement of the larger permanent signage.

Throughout the two day event local businesses seem to have a boost in business as many were patronized by the riders.

Day 1 recap.
No major issues reported or observed. Officers made contact with a few groups of stray riders. This was in part due to the temporary signs used for this event being small. These signs are typically used to mark trails by FRO. If this becomes permanent, FRO will install signs that are much larger.

Route issues: Again, this is only a temporary route used for this trial run. A permanent route will be established that will allow for better flow throughout the Borough.

Police presence: The Frackville Police will have multiple officers on duty on Day 2 as they did on Day 1. Also, a big thank you to West Mahanoy Township Police Department, Chief Williams for assisting with patrolling during Day 1.

Finally, some people have posted that there were individuals traveling at high speeds, approximately 40mph. Some people also posted that motorcycle riders were doing wheelies. All of this was allegedly occurring on Bell Street. Although, we are not saying this may not have occurred, there were multiple officers patrolling the route, especially, Bell Street. No police contact was warranted for any of these posted actions.

See you all for Day 2.

Dutch Kitchen taking advantage of the extra business from FRO today. This picture is not meant to support just this business. Numerous business had FRO patrons. This was just a photo of one of the first groups that we were able to photograph patronizing the local businesses. Thank you to all of the local businesses that were open for the event.
