Fort Worth, our city is under pressure with massive data center deals sworming on neighborhoods. 🏙️⚡

Billion-dollar corporations want to plant massive AI data centers across Fort Worth and they want us to foot the bill through higher electricity costs, strained infrastructure, and gutted neighborhood protections.

We’re saying NO. Every voice matters.
y.gy/stopdatacenters

Fort Worth families deserve affordable housing, parks, walkable neighborhoods, and good-paying local jobs not industrial server farms running 24/7 next door.

Here’s what we’re demanding:
🚫 An immediate moratorium on new hyperscale data centers
🚫 No more tax breaks & public subsidies for billion-dollar companies
🚫 No rezoning that puts industrial facilities near our neighborhoods
✅ Transparency and real public input on major development decisions
✅ A city built FOR residents not corporate interests

The Fort Worth City Council meets June 9, 2026. We want this moratorium on the agenda and to pass. Heres how to get involved:

🎉 MAY THE 4TH BE WITH US! 🎉

Tarrant4Change is turning 4 in 2026, and we're kicking off by celebrating the force that makes it all possible: YOU!

For 4 years, we have connected, collaborated, developed, and invested in grassroots organizers across Tarrant County as they build power, fight for justice, and prove that when we come together, we WIN. But the work isn't done. 2026 will be a HISTORIC year for our community, and we need YOU to fuel the movement.

Here's how to join and support the resistance:

1️⃣ JOIN THE ORGANIZING FUND
Every dollar goes directly to supporting local grassroots organizers doing the work on the ground

👉 y.gy/t4cfriends
Let's gather, celebrate 4 years of wins, and gear up for what's next!

🌌 The force is strong in Tarrant County. From neighborhood canvassing to policy victories, from voter registration to coalition-building, YOU have made Tarrant County a beacon of grassroots power.

But here's the truth: sustainable organizing requires sustainable funding. Our local grassroots organizers deserve to be paid for their labor. Our collaborations deserve the resources to reach every corner of Tarrant County. And our community deserves leaders who are accountable to US, not to corporate donors or big philanthropy.

That's why the Organizer Fund exists. That's why YOUR support matters. That's why we say: We Have Friends Everywhere!

An amazing collaboration with and members.

The best part was seeing and show up and lead in the work. They started right at 9am and took care of groceries for FWISD kids, dog food packets, and more by 10:30am. Our major focus was finished in half the time because of their team.

The collaborative support effort also took care of organizing shoes, clothes, and adding items to self care packets.

Fort Worth Community Collaborative is doing major work for the community on the westside of Fort Worth. Visit their thrift store, buy their swag, and/or make a donation to support their amazing work.

Tarrant4Change will continue collaborating our "community give back" efforts monthly during 2026!!

🚨 FWISD JUST VOTED AGAINST IMMIGRANT, BILINGUAL, AND SPECIAL EDUCATION STUDENTS, TEACHERS, AND FAMILIES 🚨

Tonight, the state-appointed Board of Managers voted 9-0 to close the International Newcomer Academy (INA) — a school that has served immigrant and refugee families for decades.

They also eliminated:
✂️ The entire Bilingual Education Department leadership
✂️ Special Education support staff
✂️ 95+ positions representing 800+ years of experience

This isn't about "enrollment." This is about dismantling the support systems our communities built.

Local Latino "leaders" continue to be all too willing to do bidding of the Fort Worth Way. Another example of weak Latino Leadership.

💔 Rosa Maria Berdeja, an immigration lawyer, voted to cut services for immigrant students.
💔 Luis Galindo, a Latino board member, voted to eliminate bilingual programs.
💔 All 9 members answered to Austin, not Fort Worth families.

100+ community members spoke for 5+ hours. They voted against community anyway.

This is what the state takeover looks like. This is what happens when elected trustees are replaced by appointees who don't live in our neighborhoods.

Our kids are not line items. Our schools are not for sale.

🚨 FORT WORTH: OUR SCHOOLS ARE UNDER ATTACK BY THE STATE OF TEXAS 🚨

The Texas Education Agency has taken control of Fort Worth ISD.

Commissioner Mike Morath removed our elected school board and installed a state-appointed Board of Managers who answer to Austin, NOT to our community.

This is happening NOW to OUR district:

❌ 60k+ students, their families, and our communities lost local governance and control
❌ 10,000 educators facing uncertainty about their schools' futures
❌ Our 9 elected trustees stripped of all governing power
❌ State-appointed superintendent Dr. Peter Licata installed without community input
❌ Minimum 2 years of state control with no guaranteed return to local governance

The campus that triggered this takeover, Forest Oak Sixth Grade, served 96% economically disadvantaged students in a predominantly Black and Hispanic neighborhood.

This is about who decides the future of OUR students, community, and public education.

✊ CORE TEAM IN ATLANTA!

The Tarrant4Change Core Team is attending the Take Back Tech Conference, building connections to strengthen our local grassroots infrastructure! 💜
Support our team: y.gy/t4cdonate

Take Back Tech is a gathering for organizers, artists, tech workers, academics, lawyers, and more to rally together and strategize our next power-building moves.

For the past year, the Tech Oligarchy has been cashing in. Billions in government contracts for mass deportation. Billions more in data centers built on the backs of our communities. They’ve made their choice: extract everything until nothing’s left. So it’s time that we make ours. This moment demands that we learn from each other and collaborate across sectors to build a winning movement.

🙏 SHOUTOUT:
Huge thanks to for making this opportunity possible! This is collaboration in action, leveraging partnerships to bring knowledge back to Tarrant County!

🔥 CONNECTING WITH MIJENTE:
Excited to learn from , a national Latinx/Chicanx organizing hub-building power through grassroots campaigns and leadership development. Their community-driven approach aligns with our belief that work must be rooted in and informed by community needs.

📢 WHY THIS MATTERS:
We're building a sustainable organizing infrastructure that centers diverse communities and builds collective power in Tarrant County. This conference helps us:

1️⃣Share strategies across movements
2️⃣Bring resources back home
3️⃣Connect with organizers nationwide
