U.S. Army Ordnance Training Support Facility

U.S. Army Ordnance Training Support Facility The Ordnance Training Support Facility maintains the former collection of the Army Ordnance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. Go Ordnance!

With Army materiel from 1775 to the present, it is primarily for Soldier training, open to the public only on select days. Thank you for your interest in the Ordnance Training Support Facility located at Fort Lee, Virginia. Formerly the Ordnance Museum at Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), Maryland, the Ordnance Training Support Facility curates thousands of military artifacts from the American Revolu

tion to modern day. The artifact collection is now being used to educate Ordnance Soldiers on their proud history and heritage. After the Defense Base Closure and Realignment (BRAC) move from Maryland, the museum collection of tanks, vehicles, and other artifacts is available for public viewing only on select days. Also, some of the artifacts that were on outdoor exhibit at APG have been transferred to more appropriate locations: the Tiger 1 which is now on display at the Armor Museum at Fort Benning, Georgia for example. Several of the artifacts are on outside display at Fort Lee. These include: a Pershing II Battlefield Support Missile and Launcher; an M2 Bradley Fighting Vehicle, an M32B3 Recovery Vehicle, an experimental T12 High Explosive Bomb dubbed the “Cloudmaker,” an Army 12”/35 railroad gun “Model of 1895”. Below is a list of locations for these exhibits. Artifacts from the Ordnance collection are posted here regularly so be sure to check back often. Please like, share, and comment on what you find interesting! Again, thank you for your interest in the Ordnance Training Support Facility. ORDNANCE TRAINING AND HERITAGE CENTER OUTDOOR EXHIBITS

We cannot apologize enough for making a late weather call which cancelled the TSF Open House this past Saturday. We're sorry for impacted travel plans, but hopefully some can still join us this weekend! We will have the TSF open this Saturday, 14 February! There's plenty to see, including several iterations of the popular Jeep! According to General Eisenhower, the jeep was one of the most decisive weapons the U.S. had at its disposal during World War II.

🚨⚠️ Due to the condition of the roads in the Museum Enclave, we are going to have to postpone today’s open house. We apologize for the late notice.

The TSF is ready for the Open House tomorrow! However, the surprise snow and freezing temperatures tonight might cause potential delays for tomorrow. Please follow this page and the Fort Lee Garrison U.S. Army Fort Lee for the latest guidance.

If the Fort decides on a delay, the TSF will follow. Otherwise, travel safe and we will see you soon!

The most recent government appropriations expired at 11:59p.m. EST on January 30, 2026. Military personnel will continue in a normal duty status, without pay until such time as a continuing resolution or appropriations are passed by Congress and signed into law. Civilian personnel not engaged in excepted activities will be furloughed.
